Sophie paints intricate miniatures of dogs on teabags, building up layers of watercolour to create a precise image of a dog.
She extended her rescue portraits into taking commissions for pet portraits, as well as painting endangered wildlife, which also feature gold. One of her portraits was chosen by Explorers Against Extinction, Sketch for Survival, to tour around the country with their exhibition, where it was sold for their charity.
Through her art, she gives back to charity and 15% of her profits will go back to the dogs homes where the dogs featured were being cared for.
All of her miniature paintings are watercolours and gouache painted onto teabags. To keep in with her reuse and repurpose ethos, she always try to use good quality, second hand, but beautiful frames, wherever possible.
